I'm on 3 mobile broadband and its ok unless its prime time, 4pm - 9pm then it goes on a go slow, the Argos website doesnt work properly and the daily mail one wont load at all.
I got a better connection by not using the new software it prompts you to install, that was just a pain with the my 3 home page loading everytime there was a connection loss  Evil or Very Mad
What sort of connection do you get, I only get 2-3 bars and it keeps switching between 3G and HSDPA, its fine when it stays on one but freezes if it switches during a page load.
I'm thinking of getting a lil arial for the dongle as it has a slot for one  Confused

The annoying thing on this site is when I do get a connection loss allbeit say a couple of seconds I lose all the orange flags for new posts  Rolling Eyes
This is because its cookie based and not held on the database.

Agree Mark about the peak times overload / go-slow.  Can be really bad around 6-7pm.

If you try calling 3 to complain about connectivity / speed you just get a foreign call centre who take you through a preset flowchart that presumes your PC is at fault when you KNOW it's the 3 network.  And at the end they ask you to try the modem in a different area.........a different room? you ask.................er,no, a different POSTCODE!!  yeah right - I'm gonna be driving around with my PC in the car and an inverter to power it.  Rolling Eyes  Shocked

I've given up & don't bother trying to do anything important during the early evening - it's fine off-peak.  Smile

2 to 3 bars at the best, always changing. Have noticed when i lose connection i lose the orange markers, bloody annoying.

Just wish i could sort this page loading issue, trying to order my shopping last night and couldnt check out,

go to work this morning and bang.. done!!!!!!!! 30 second job!

I have noticed things seem a little better since the update, although the new page opening is rather annoying.

I wonder what causes it to do so, doesnt seem to matter what time of day for certain things. ie again the auto trader pages.

Cheers for the response marky  Wink

Copper Wires..

That's what it's all about. Now you definitely know we're in a Thirld World Country..  Crying or Very sad

It's an absolute joke.. all of it..  Mad

We pay highest in the world for the worst service, because, as BT so eloquently puts it "We own all the 'kin wires"

Almost every other county has made a commitment to fibre optics except us....  Evil or Very Mad

Funny thing is that the fastest home broadband in the UK is through those copper wires  Wink

Be a lot faster if we all had fibre optics though....

I'm sure copper wires are great if you live within 50 metres of an exchange and you pay for guaranteed bandwidth...
