well the beast is off for its MOT at 1.30pm why do i dread this moment after all its in better nick than most 4 year old cars these days. Fingers crossed it might suprise me.

why did i bother to worry, past with ease MOT guy was really impressed with it. Got a advisory on play in steering and will need some rear pads soon. Cann't complain with that. Very Happy

It's always a nail biting wait for the result!  My Trooper had MOT a couple of weeks ago and sailed through too!

I believe the steering boxes are the same (recirulating ball) all through the Trooper range and if so, they can be adjusted quite easily to take out the slack. Some garages don't realise it's a box, not a rack and get a bit worried about the slack. 25mm - 30mm is not unsual.

I've done mine once and I do prefer it tighter!
