I have a 91 Vauxhall Brava 4x2  with an Isuzu 2.5 none turbo diesel.  Also a 93 2.0 petrol Frontera Sport .  These are both re badged Isuzu's.  My problem is that as the Bravo has chassis rot but has a healthier more fuel efficient engine.  I would like to transplant the Diesel into the frontera but although the front chassis are the same I dont know if the frontera wiring loom carries the connections to hook up the diesel.  If the Brava box will hook up to the transfer drive and what exhaust mods would be needed.   Any help would be appreciated.

I would think the engine side is a straight swap.Wiring will obviously be different but it would be easy enough to get sorted if you have a reasonable knowledge of electrics.
Exhaust i would think will just need a slight mod where the downpipe meets the system (or where your cat would be) however the 2ltr sport exhaust is probably slightly smaller diameter so you may suffer some power loss.?

I'm thinking it will be a pain as the 2.0 is a Vauxhall engine and the 2.5 Isuzu wont mate to the gearbox  Idea
Or I am totally wrong  Confused

Thanks for the response
It would have to be an engine & Box swap.  I am assuming the box will mate to the transfer as in the 4x4 Brava or LWB frontera. if I have to remove the transfer drive then ok. For me thats the easy bit its all the wires & fancy stuff thats my main concern.  These are basically the same beasts but do they share a common wiring loom?   I have asked the same questions on a site here in Ireland hoping that I might find someone who could do the swap but it looks like its down to me!

swap the engine, box the whole lot over, youll need to change the rear prop but the front will fit.

wiring is easy, the isuzu engines hardly have any.
