Open all year round is a nice little site we often like to use at Cheltenham
http://www.briarfields.net
The couple who run the place are really nice and helpful, even if Alan can be a little odd about the state of his grass, but it's really well placed for exploring the Cotswolds, Gloucester and ogling GCHQ next door.
Cheltenham is a beautiful place full of Regency architecture and shoe shops (on which I can only assume, the economy of the town hinges) there is, to me however, a very wide gap in rich and poor in Cheltenham which we don't get in the Land of the Gold and Black Army as most of us are at the bottom end there anyway. There's also quite a number of homeless, which again we don't notice in the Black Country as it's usually just your uncle waiting for the bus.
But don't be put off, for a weekend away it's a treat.
