Hi, my dad has just phoned - he can't start his Rover 75 (diesel) as all that happens when he turns the key is that the dash lights (all of them) flash on and off.  Problem is he's meant to be bringing my son home today after his weekend sleepover.  Fairly urgent help if poss - maybe battery disconnect to reboot ECU?

Could well be a dead battery, Any lights been left on? Has he tried to Bump/Jump it? Dash lights can still come on with not enough power to turn the starter.
