Would need to know car model and year to narrow it down a bit but the C is chassis related.

C codes stop at 1788 , are you sure thats what your reading ?

must be an after market scanner or tech2 would have given a description of what it was

I do not see that code in the Trooper manual , could you say what the fault is ?

sorry, I don't know, have trouble with remote controls, had air bag fault and 4WD fault, now my code reader is not communicating with ECU so i cannot see if codes have cleared.

Assume your code reader is not Tech II  Question That is the only one that will work correctly with the 3.0

Have you sorted the airbag and 4wd drive faults  Question  if not  look in the general,electrical and other trooper forums,4wd look in that forum,plenty of info there especially 4wd as of late  Exclamation
Re remote fob,once again plenty on here how to incar code,but if it won't then its off to the dealers and Tech II  Rolling Eyes

Ah ok . Now have  a read on how to Flash the OBD plug to get a flash code to come up on the check engine light and then you can see whats up .

Much easier than using a scanner thats not tech 2  Smile

Its not hard and if a man from Romania who says his english is bad can do it should be  easy  if english is your natural language ..

Put the key in to ign on press both buttons on the remote and if it gets the code it will lock/unlock the doors once. If not its tech 2 time .
