One LWB 1990 Trooper Bighorn. 2.8TD Lotus Edition.

Cracked 150,000 miles getting it home. Not a bad drive up from Southampton. Just over 200 miles and ran quite sweetly. Now all I need to do is tidy her up a bit and sort out an annoying whistling/squeeling noise that seems to come and go. Not speed related, and you can make it come and go by pushing the pedal slightly harder and softer. Thinking it could be the altenator belt, but suggestions so far have been exhaust manifold (which I doubt as that is more a popping sound from experience) to Clutch (bloody numpty mechanics).

Lol ... never noticed it looking like a Disco before, but now you mention it.

The high top roof was only available outside the UK. Probably why no-one recognises it. It was imported in 1999 apparently.

Its full specs are:
Mk.1 Isuzu Trooper Bighorn High-Roof LWB Estate. 2.8TD Lotus Special Edition.

I like the wheels to be honest and am seriously thinking about keeping it as original as possible. However I will be getting some wider tyres for her. The ones on there are only 205 wide, and are getting to a stage where they are almost perishing. The rust patch under the window is something else I am going to address as well. There are a couple like it under the windscreen also, though not as bad. Other things to look at are the front fogs as they don't seem to work and looking inside them they are quite rusty as well. though i do have two like them in the garage from a previous 4x4 (Frontera).

Went out today and got a new fan/altenator belt ... Isuzu wanted £32  Shocked .. local motor factors £8  Laughing . Couple of new front wiper blades for £8. Hopefully the squeeling is that belt. Its quite floppy when running and wouldn't be surprised if its the culprit. Start with the cheap options first I say. Will take a few photo's of the belt replacement and post it up here as a How2 for others to see. Looks like its a pain what with having to remove the air-con compressor out of the way, the bleeding mechanical fan (stupid stupid idea) and then the thing is buried under god knows what.

So it seems as if I have something unique to the club then ... wow. Will definatly get her back to order. I like the roof to be honest .. and yeah the room inside is huge, far far bigger than my Frontera.

You don't need to touch the fan to do the belt.
