I have been thinking about using the 50/50 rapeseed mix in my 1999 3.0L. Are there any sensible benefits? I do an average of 150 miles a day during the week and she don't miss a beat, giving a return of 28-30 MPG. Does it have to be mixed before it goes in the tank and does it need the pre-heater kits. Any advice please. _________________

No, the 3.0 needs a twin tank system.
(i cant post links how gay)
look at biomotors.co.uk/CarsVansH.html#Isuzu
If it had said 1 tank, then you could of just put it in without the conversion. |

Quite a few people running it in the 3.0 without a conversion and have had no problems, I have just not been brave enough to try it yet, from what I have read 25% seems to be safe, not a big enough saving in the price at the moment, but as diesel prices are creaping up again, will need to watch the price of oil as the last time diesel went up in price so did the price of veg oil. |

No probs running 50/50 rapeseed/BP Ultimate - same performance, just a bit smelly. 33/66 far less smelly.
Not concerned about breaking the engine, only clogging the fuel filter but no worries so far. |

said sod it and put the trooper back on veg, 43 litres of diesel and 6 litre of rapeseed veg oil, if the engine goes t*ts up it wil be an excuse then to bang a 2.8 in then can run on a lot more veg
(sorry eithan, i know this will be frowned upon) _________________ atb kevin
