Hi just joined the forum hope someone might be able to throw some light on my situation.
It had been sitting for about a year before i got hold of it.
Have had problem with the trooper not wanting to start, but will on easy start and also lacks power,at the same time it had lost it drive.
Stripped out gearbox and replaced clutch kit and flywheel(was fitted back timed up right)now have drive.
Have plugged in scanner to see why engine check light was on,came up with rail pressure sensor circuit high and glow plug circuit. Tested glow plugs 3 were not working.
Have all now been replaced, spoken to my local dealer about any outstanding recalls.
Have now had all injectors replaced and a wire mod done for glow plugs, will now start with out easy start and smokes alot less.
Still have engine check light on and lacks power and still comes up with rail sensor circuit high, have heard if its the sensor it normally comes up with circuit low????
Is it the sensor,is it the pump, could it be a faulty set of injectors????
Please help before i pull all my hair out.
Many thanks
Richard. |

the white wire is for test purposes and bypasses the sensor, it's very rare to see a fault code for the orps unless it has really gone wrong or that wire gets disconnected and i've not seen one go really wrong yet. ideally you need it on a tech 2 to read the actual orp if it's reading 27.9mpa then that wire is broken or has been disconnected somewhere and thats the reason your getting a fault for that sensor |

no because the vehicle start and runs and if you disconnect it it will put a code in anyway |

that code is correct with high voltage so we need to know what the orps is reading oil pressure wise |

they might depends on if they got the right card or not we need to know pressure with just ignition on and what it is roughly when it's running |
