Need help moving into the 21st century
Thinking of adding a double din nav system like the Pioneer Avic F700 or similar.
Couple of questions...
Is there a double din fitting kit to keep it looking neat??
Anyone got a link for a nice cheap Isuzu to iso harness?
Where is the best place to grab a speed pulse signal from??
all answers welcome thanks in advance |

I have had my new one for near 2 months and just found a cd player under the passenger seat
I would have prefered a record player _________________ |

MY God no, some idiot gave a woman in the passenger seat a steering wheel and a record player
Maybe 8 track would be safer. _________________ |

No good that ,the needle slips on corners . A din is an eejiot and a double din is two eejoits .
Which vehicle would Sir be fitting this system too ? A Isuzu - ISO connector can be had from autoleads/hell fords _________________ 2 New Troopers ! |

The Isuzu to ISO lead are fairly cheap depending on where you go for them. If I am popping to yours I can have a look and see what you need without you going blindly into halfords and getting what they suggest. You can get some systems that are only single Din and directly replace the stereo. They are a bit pricy though (more than just a seperate SatNav on its own like a TomTom) I think halfords are selling one for £300 at the moment on offer. Some systems have a screen untit that replaces the stereo and another unit which can be mounted anywhere as it is more of a brain and therefore doesn't need to be mounted on the dash. This means that it can be installed behind trim etc. Other units are as you say double Din and need the large hole on the dash to be installed. depending on the vehicle you are driving its a bit hit and miss wether this is a vaible option without modifying the dash.
This is the one from halfords. Not the best in the world but gives you an idea what to look for
http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_productId_707793_categoryId_165474_langId_-1?cm_vc=IOV4PLPZ1#dtab
Pioneer and JVC seem to be the best (in my opinion) on producing SatNav stereo all-in-one units when I was looking into them not so long ago. I personally would go that route.
Can I ask why you would need a speed signal wire? Most SatNav systems use GPS to work out how fast your going. _________________ 1990 Isuzu Bighorn LWB Mk.I 2.8TD Manual Lotus Edition
