I'm probably being a bit slow, but on several posts on the forum where photos should be there are just little boxes with red x's in them. Why can't I see the photos? Can anyone help me please? Thanks. Daz |

i think the poster has removed photo from there photobucket and this in turn removes it from here _________________ aka x66dag

Yes! I can see JC.. Thanks for posting. I think the problem is mostly with older topics, so maybe the photos being removed from Photobucket etc. is the problem. Not being a computer whizz I thought I must be doing something wrong. Thanks for help. Daz |

The problem with some external hosts is that to 'protect' their bandwidth, they rename files on their servers - this 'invalidates' the original link, so you get the 'cannot be found' red x
In addition, increasingly, when people don't use their external host account for a while, the account 'expires' and the posts are lost
Finally - sometimes it's just a slip-up ... somebody decides to do some 'house-keeping' on their account, forgetting that they have pictures linked in on forums.
There are all sorts or reasons and a real shame when good pics are 'lost'
