While on my holiday this year i came across Brean sands in summerset
you may or may not know that brean has one of the biggest expances of beachs left in the uk that you can still drive on
now to get your car onto the beach cost's £4 per vehicle
so i was thinking why not have a club get together in the summer next year ?
dogs are aloud on the beach as are BBQ'S and with a sunny day what more could you want ?
i aproched some camp sites while down there and most where happy to let us have a section of there site for the weekend as long as we paid up front and others happy for a single night booking
so how about it people ?
opinions please.............

Cool, and Brean is the place where they all get stuck and submerged, so be careful! _________________ Every time I learn something new, it pushes some old stuff from out of my brain.

It's always happening, the tide goes out a long way, and it's a gloopy mud like stuff. I think even the coastguard use a hovercraft there. _________________ Every time I learn something new, it pushes some old stuff from out of my brain.

Yeah, we got a specialist recovery company in town with all the gear.
Trouble is nobody reads the signs and the plonkers all think they'll be alright _________________ I'm always in the s**t, it's just the depth that matters now!

That first 1 with the urber crusier reminded me of the day I sank my then bosses diesel landy disco whilst retrieving my speed boat on
the norfolk coast at Walcott in 1995
I had a Diahatsu 2.8 fourtrak as company car but he said I could use his disco cos it was bigger, fairly new and he was on hoilday
The disco stayed totally submerged for several hours until the tide went back out again, needless to say it was a
total wreak. The boats trailer was in the sea but I was still on dry sand so I thought, the water comes in under the sand 2 to 3 metres unseen
so with a fully loaded truck waterlogged boat with V8 inboard and a heavy trailer the Disco didn't move forwards it just went striaght down
to it's axles almost as soon as the wheels spun, Game Over At 1 stage I even had a very large tractor with a 20 tonne winch playing
tug of war against the suction of the sand and lost, there must have been 300 odd people watching yet I have never seen a picture
Boss wasn't to unhappy as he didn't really like his then £22000 tractor and replaced it with a £38000 3.9ltr RR vouge although he did drive
about in his wifes MG Metro (not the turbo) for 6 weeks waiting on the insurance whilst I was in the 4Trac :lol
I'm up for a weekend at a nice coast next summer _________________ aka x66dag
