Finally ! half of the car looks like new Smile This Friday i took all this parts to my friends body shop. Its painted with ceramic standox clear. They say its scratch proof ... time will show  Cool

before painting ...

and 4 hours later Smile

this clear has nice "wet look" i hope it will always look like that.

Imo it looks good:D im very happy about paint job. When the rest of the car will be painted and whole polished it will look like new. In next 2 weeks rest of the car will be ready for painting.

Yesterday i mounted new ps pump . For now it works good , no leaks and steering wheel can be turned by 1 finger.

If I had a garage or workshop I would love to do the same, you cannot beat building 'your own' vehicle, so you know every nut and bolt ! I've built many motorbikes and its great to ride along knowing that every part has been fitted by you, massive satisfaction and pride  Very Happy
I want to visit Poland next year, maybe I will come and visit you?  thumbup

Thank You guys for support Very Happy Still fighting here ! Jacsdad when You will be in Poland You have to visit me  Very Happy

The situation looks like this : half of the car is painted and in fact finished. The other half is still in progress and i think we will paint it next week. I wasn't really happy about rear panel so i improved it Smile. Doors and tail gate was full of some small holes from the key, scratches and other things so i fixed that. I had to cut bottom of passenger doors because there was some rust ... But now everything is close to finish line...

That was just after painting.

Now it looks like after war in Somalia...

Its not going as fast as i want it but im alone and doing my best ...  Rolling Eyes

Well if I were An Isuzu dealer, or part supply's... I will support this guy!
Restoration ensures the long lasting presence of the make in Polland.

Hi All !

Thank You for support as usual !

Sorry as usual Very Happy for not posting. This time my friend from body shop was extremely busy and i had to wait for almost 2 weeks for painting. I can say it was worth ! When whole car is done it looks really good in real. Pictures don't really show the result. Paint has big metallic "sparks" in sun, its very shiny - looks like glass. I had to cut out bottom door seal - there was a lot of rust under it. I cleaned it and protected with rubber sealer. Foot steps and this tail gate "shelf" were really looking bad, from stepping on it and putting stuff on the back.. Now it looks like new  Very Happy Take a look Yourself :

Beginning of paper tape horror  Shocked

After painting

there was a lot of rust here. It doesn't look great but its rust free  Wink

Mirrors and door trim looks very good in this dark black.

This clear coat has nice "wet look" effect in real it looks more like glass. I was trying to get that on photo..

Its shiny Very Happy

Registration plate frame and "roof"

I want to get rid of this stupid bumper lights. I want it to look more like Bighorn. That's why i bought this tail lamps, but there's one problem - it doesn't has fog lights. As You can see last section of lights was empty. I cut a hole and i will put fog bulb here. That way i will have everything in tail lights.

And now the bad part.

Im now working on this bumper mounts. In factory they were only painting in black - that's it.Because of that after 17 years it looks like pile of s#it.

As You can see some parts are use able. I will sandblast them and weld some steel plates. But most of this rubbish is not worth anything, i will have to make it all new.

In next week i will paint bumpers and all plastic exterior parts, i hope i will finish bumper mounts quick. When i will finish it then i will finally start working on interior Smile.
