Well it is on the passenger side which is helpful but 3 inches is long.

You may get away with it. However, it will get worse. I doubt if a 3 inch crack can be repaired but ask Autoglass.

Andy

P.S. I suspect the answer is - you gotta spend £70

probably I'm afraid.

I've cracked my screen too, look on the bright side £320 is the cost if you're not insured for glass!

Have a look at this - scroll down to the diagram.

Just had a 2" crack repaired on my 1992 Trooper in Maidstone. Cost £25. The fitter said a new screen would only be about £120.

An independent windscreen repairer and supplier from Ashford, Kent. Can't remember the name though.

Just phoned them and for a bronze (cheapest) tint screen with fitting is £110 + VAT plus £15 for clips Wink

Even if people are not close enough to use these they can use this price as a starting price to bargain   (not that the price changes but that price was for a 1999 3.0)  Wink

I had a bronze tint on the 3.2 and i at first was dubious but it's a great shade and does not look bronze at all, If you put a shade in your glasses you can have any tint screen you want (works for me)Wink  Laughing  Laughing  Laughing  Laughing  Laughing  Laughing  Laughing  Laughing  Laughing
