danny thanks for the link but i didnt find the download for the 3.1 just the 3.0 i have that manual .removed head today and its cracked  Crying or Very sad  have a scrap trooper with engine probs will strip head off  Rolling Eyes hope its ok

The manual covers the late 3.1 also Wink This is nearly the same as the earlier 3.1 only a couple of bits differ Wink

  probs the wrong place to put this post  but i have a 1992 trooper 3.1d   doesnt seem to want to start in morning  but then great through out the day, its just the morning start...  any ideas ?

Does it take a bit of turning over before it fires up ? once its run for a bit and re pressurised, it fires up even on a cold engine = minor leak in fuel system allowing de pressurisation over time.

or does it start to fire up but struggles and starts ok when warm ? = Glow plugs goosed.

so does this mean there are 2 different types of 3.1 enjun if so how different bare they ????

The differences are mainly the cross over between the manual stick 4wd to the SOTF

cheers Rhangar,  i thought they did a version of the 3.1 which was cam chain driven as opposed to cam belt driven like mine is ????  Ken.
