No worries, like put It's part mk4 part mk2 part plate, more to round it off and make a bit stronger under the trans box.

Gonna re make the part under front axle out of steel to allow for the axle drop, will then poss cut the ally gaurd down so It's still used under the gear box, keeps weight down a bit that way and I know it'll stand upto a knock lol. Otherwise just re make the full length one in 3 mm steel and sell the ally one.

Wind it up the embankment, hold it there with the footbrake and switch off the engine. Chuck it into gear and let off the clutch then the brake. That should hold it where you want it Wink

I was impressed how easy it went up with the locker in, It's a steep bank!

My plan is to make a full length ally/steel guard (depending what I can lay my hands on at work) and then if I can mod the tranny guard too it will be a bonus.

Well this weekends job weather permitting is to re make the bash guards, the ally one from the old un doesn't fit how I want it to with the axle drop, got some 3mm steel sheet in the garage ready to be shaped to how I want it, bolts will be recessed were it bolts to the x member under the axle to keep a smooth surface.
Will prob cut the ally one down to still use it under the gear box.
Pics to follow when It's made.

Been busy in the garage today doing a few bits, re made the the bash gaurd for the front axle/engine. the ally one from the old troop didn't fit right after the axle drop so got some 3mm steel sheet and made a new one..

It's not too heavy and have re enforced it in the areas that will be prone to impact. the rear bolt holes are recessed into the gaurd making it flat and the front ones have a captive nut (unlike the bolt in the pic)
Going to cut the ally one down and still use the part that goes under the gear box.
