Folks,

What's the deal with Glow Plugs? I've been told they're not something you would routinely renew at a service interval, however, judging by this forum, they're a very common cause of problems, and I know the vehicle I want has failed once and they've been replaced.

BTW - I'm about to hand over £7K for a 2000 3.0 TD LWB Duty Trooper.
IM have confirmed the only applicable Service Campaign for my VIN was for the turbo - which was replaced. I really want the Trooper, but as the day of handover of my 7 grand looms I'm getting increasingly nervous.
Any comments - should I or shouldn't I?????????
