Just wondering where peeps are mounting there cb's in a lwb bighorn ?

looked at a couple of places in mine but wondered where everyone else has theres stashed ?

Mines a midland 38, fitted it in that gap under radio.

i cut the back of the plastic cubby hole under the radio which allowed the CB to fit in rather well and flush with the dash.

I have just bought one and i think thats going in the dash £27 Very Happy Not the best in the world but it'll do it's job (i'll have to lose my clock but it's aftermaket anyway)



Last time i fitted one i put the coax through the top of passenger side door and sometimes when it rained it poured in Embarassed I don't want to drill the roof(or anywhere else for that matter) Where are you running yours Jase? Or anyone else for that matter? Sorry for Hijacking But it is relevent if your fitting one too Laughing  Laughing  Laughing

Dylan, my aerial is rear mounted and wire fed in through top of rear small door, never leaked yet.

That is a definate option Adam I just need something there to mount it on, I wonder if a clamp on the ladder would do the trick?

Oh and got bracket off flea bay, the tube its fixed to is approx 30mm. Wink

i have mine on a mag mount, bang in the center of the roof but to be honest i have a litle problem with higher swr than i would like

ps my aeriel is a sirio ml145

I run mine the same as adz and no leaks, I never bothered with swr as its a pre-tuned (apparently) never had problems though  Cool

Another question, I bought an aerial mount for my Modulator whip and the guy that sold it me said if i extend the cable i'll never get it swr'd properly. Any truth in this? It'll never reach back door to dash if i don't Crying or Very sad

I have an extension on my cable Dylan and have no issues, my sets good for a good few miles, tried and tested. Wink
