They did an excellent job dealing with my Trooper's cracked head and burnt head gasket.

In a short time they had diagnosed a problem that two other places had failed to find the underlying cause of. Using their test gear they spotted that the injectors were set up wrongly, which most likely led to the overheating that did the damage. They deduced that before lifting the head.

Cotswold approached the problem methodically, to make sure the cheaper avenues were tried before the expensive work started.

Before I sent it to them another garage's response had been to give up after a bit of a think and offer to lift the head for £££££ and give it a look. That would have shown up the burnt gasket and cracked head - but would they have also found the underlying cause, which was the wrong injection settings?

Cotswold's good relationship with Isuzu resulted in the repairs costing me lots less than I originally expected them to (many thanks to Isuzu, too).

Not only that but they were willing to collect it and return it the 60ish miles I am from them (returned last Saturday in the freezing fog by the MD and his wife!).

In future I am definitely going to send the Trooper to them for the usual service work too, despite the distance.

Cotswold are recommended. I booked my 2000 diesel in to have an intermittent indicator fixed and they advised me that the injector and heater campaign items were due on my car so they did them at the same time as they had the parts in stock. Whilst working on the engine Mark(Markboy) also noticed that one of the glow plugs was down so he managed to replace the duff plug and two others, the 4th one was stuck but still working so left well alone. Great service with a smile and a car to run around in. Now before you all get carried away, it was a Yaris and not a Rodeo!
Great dealer.
