Thought i'd post up some more of the small changes so far.
Spare wheel moved to give the rear a cleaner look and carbon wrapped the wiper arm
need to find some bungees to fix the spare wheel too
the modernised headlight and sidelights
High beam FTW
And the progress on my spotlight bar thanks to my Brother (plater by trade) for getting me the material from his works for free (Herima the oil rig builders)
30mm thick square bar (hollow center) measured 4 equal distances drilled it out to sit the spot brackets in
testing the mig speed and gas ammount
sander disk on the grinder made fast work of the surface rust
test fit a spot and the bar on the roof to make sure i was happy with the height (wanted it to sit as low as possible) and that we had made each end bracket the same so the bar sat level
gave it a coat of paint so it dosen't start to oxodise and rust again next job is to tack weld the 4 spotlight brackets onto the bar then re paint it ready to bolt on
i was going to have them bolt on but as i wont be moving them around i decided to weld them on so there's no nuts and thread showing on the underneath of the bar for a cleaner look _________________

Thanks bunny i just waxed it a few days ago to stop that road salt attacking then went and got it dirty again
Do you mean a full external roll cage or a full length roofrack ecp ? either would look sweet Im sill thinking about a rack for the back half later not sure yet.
Next things Im going to add are 265 75 or 285 70-75 dynapro Tyres, snorkel, tint the rear windows, spray the alloys gun metal grey, spray the front grill black, take all the faded stickers off, and service it in any order _________________

dont think i will go for a roll cage as i dont think it needs it for what i use it for.
its the added lights at the front and rear, i had planned on a full roof cage ala landrover type as some of the other member have done in other posts, but not sure i need it now, might just try what you have done, minimalistic but effective, i will ponder it.
my 1st job out of my list which is similar to yours is, snorkel 1st, then when funds alow its 32/1150/15 tyres, need to refurb a set of wheels and spray gun metal grey (snap) lol and then the list goes on |
