Mines booked in on the 7Th as well, 10 am, said it will take hour and a half.......must remember to take a book with me!
Still wondering if they use Tech2 to do the job?

They told me that resetting the Orps whilst it was in there would cost £82.50 plus vat, but I want to know if the Tech2 machine will be used to do the recall: I reckon they are trying to charge me extra to cover the warranty work Wink
The receptionist who rang me back didn't seem to know what day it was, never mind how the job was actually done! Laughing
My mate has reset it with his carman diagnostic doofer anyway, cost me £5 in the end !

from what i've heard you don't need tech2, it's linking an earth wire around a plug instead of going through the plug

Oh well, not to worry....I've had it all reset now, was just trying to see if the dealer was ripping me off even more than they tried the first time  Shocked
I'm actually wondering whether to take it in at all, I just don't want anyone else working on it....

If you call a main dealer then they should be able to tell you if there are any outstanding recalls.

Hello all not been on here for some time since my Trooper committed suicide and nearly killed me, but noticed this post about TPS and the details of the effects. My Trooper suddenly and for no reason whilst in reverse went to full revs causing it to run away causing extensive damage to itself a wall and a road sign. If now there is a recall do I have some claim against Isuzu for my cost's caused by this any idea's welcome. Confused

as long as you can give them the trooper, they test it and find a fault, and even then admit to fniding the same.....in other words, I wouldn't start spending the compo just yet  Shocked  Wink

thanks to seeing this recall on this site, i rang im. they were very helpful. my truck is booked in on the 19th of this month. they said isuzu pay for 0.7 of a hour, but it takes a little longer than the time given. they also told me that the wires would be checked and replaced one by one. they also confirmed my booking by text message. great site this. cheers andy.

It was more a thought not planning on holding my breath. But it is a big wonder now there is a recall if any others have had a similar experience I lost my car had a few days of pain and had to pay for a road sign. But in reality I was so lucky, no one was walking past and got hit by my car, for a split second a very buisy main road had no passing traffic so no other vehicle involved, the road sign jammed under the axle and stopped the car before it crashed through the wall of the house opposite mine and on and on. Confused
