thanks to seeing this recall on this site, i rang im. they were very helpful. my truck is booked in on the 19th of this month. they said isuzu pay for 0.7 of a hour, but it takes a little longer than the time given. they also told me that the wires would be checked and replaced one by one. they also confirmed my booking by text message. great site this. cheers andy.

So is your dealer implying that you pay the difference in the time spent  Confused
I've had it done and not charged a penny Wink
You can see they have spliced the wires into the ecu

Mine's been doing this problem for ages..ggggrrrrr! I havent had a recall letter,so will be following this one up. If i started listing the parts and dollar ive spent on this,i could write a book! When it does this involuntary reving-its very dangerous. Isuzu should be bought to book......i had a similar near death experience, before initial recall work was done on 1st problem. So my guard is up! I seriously car'nt wait for the day it dies for good.

Had my recall done today...running alot better. No charge and about 90min wait. There are 12,000 of these Trooper's due for recall in total. So i recommend you call your nearest dealer, because they wont call you!

does this effect certain models/year of the 3.0l or right across the board
how do you know if yours is effected or just wait until it is....

I popped into my local dealer and asked, they run my plates and said yep it's on the list
I could either book it in now or wait for a letter which could take upto 18months,
booked it in job done no fuss or hassle but then Welsh's in Cambridge are pretty good at being a good garage Wink  Very Happy

Ring the dealer up. Give them your Reg and VIN.(chassis) number and they will tell you if yours is due for recall.

this is mine

so by the looks of it its been done

think this is error on my part lol

the truck has done 145k

but in 2010 it had a new engine fitted with 24k on clock that engine has now done 36k i have all the invocies etc to show the new engine was fitted and all the belts were done etc

so if i have a later low mileage engine will that mean it wont need the recall work?

as my nearest dealer is a 80 mile round trip so if i dont need to go then i will cancel the booking
