advice please
i have been running a 3.1 for 7 years no problems but time for a change, like the look of a local 3.0 on a 05 plate but the tales of woe on here are putting me off should i give it a shot or head for a landcruiser or shogun instead ,any advice to help me decide ?

It has been said many times that most people join when they have a problem, most people never have a problem.
If you want to see problems about Shoguns then POCUK is the place
Dunno about Land cruisers, there forum is very quiet _________________ |

Land cruiser or buy my highly Modded 3.0 (not been used off road ) and I'll go get the land cruiser I've been to look at!!
On a serious note, I came from a 3.1 and bought a 3.0 (a non runner at that) I've had some minor issues but nothing that hasn't been covered on here. I wouldn't want to go back to a 3.1 now and really like the 3.0 engine.
The LC's have a well deserved reputation and you will pay more for one, the diesels hold value more then petrols but that's more the mpg!! _________________ landcruiser 80 series 4.5, 35's/33's for road, 2inch lift, discreet winch, sliders/armour, factory lockers, stainless side exit +++++ |

Why go diesel? Why not consider lpg/petrol?
I have just bought another after realisation that it was the most reliable and cheapest 4x4 i ever owned. Never let me down even though it had high miles and was an old shooting truck. I put a lambda sensor on, and some brake pads...cost me as much to run as the neighbours 1.4
I love em! |
