Hi All.
I am thinking of buying a bull/A bar for my 95lwb td. Can anyone tell me if they are very difficult to fit. Thanks.

Short answer is NO
I just fitted one on mine. Its four bolts and you will need to buy two additional ones. Underneath front end you 'should' find a tow hook (drivers side) held on with two bolts. Take these off. On the opposite side is a blank space, this is where the two new bolts will fit. Remove front grille. Depending on make of A the brackets at the bottom may/may not detatch. These fit where you have just taken bolts from. Where the grille comes out are two smaller bolts. Take these out and fit the stay bars and rebolt. Do not fully tighten any bolts yet. Square everything up and fully tighten. Replace grille and finished. It does help if you have somebody that can hold the A when positioning underneath, unless you have three hands or VERY long arms Very Happy
Good luck make sure you get the bolts BEFORE you start. Not like me had to drive to an ironmonger with the front missing Embarassed

I have finally got an A bar for my trooper. Have done as instructed by flashman and removed the hook and took one of the bolts to my local garage to get some new shorter ones. Unfortunately they did not have anything matching the thread, the equivilent metric diameter was too coarse a thread and being japanese I could'nt see it being UNF therefore could you flashman if you remember or anyone else tell me what size bolts they are so I can get some.
Thanks.

Hi Cowboy
Can't remember what I did this morning let alone a thread size a few months back Laughing Laughing
If you have a good nut and bolt shop near you, take the hook bolt in and ask for the same thread. The head is bigger and you don't need the last 25mm to be plain. It was a standard size I do remember that but they were about £1.50 each Sad Sad
If you cannot get them let me know and I'll have a word in my local nut shop. He stocks everything.

Thanks Flashman. Will do as you suggest and look in yellow pages for nearest nuts and bolts stockist.
