Yeah most definately, i have got hesitation now at 2000rpm when cold, just cleaned all the the connectors out with wd40 in the engine bay so fingers crossed!

Is the plug by the dipstick suppose to have oil in it?

Just remind me, It's a 3.0 yes? If you mean the plug with about 20 pink wires no it should be oil free and is a common cause of odd running/missfires on a 3.0 engine.

Its a 3.0 yes!

I know this was a common fault on land rover td5s and replacing the injector wiring loom was a cure, is this the same case?

Just clean the plug out it should be fine, The 3.0 boys will let you know if there's any fixes recalls on this loom. It's the main harness plug for the injectors and orps so needs to be clean Wink

Just abit of leccy cleaner now and again does the job. There is a post on here somewhere by rallymarshall who modded the plug slightly.

Just took the trooper a spin round the block and its still hesitating at 2000rpm, feels like really bad turbo lag but it takes off when the turbo kicks in!

Iv ordered a new air filter and diesel filter so fingers crossed

Seems the hesitation has gone  Rolling Eyes

Battery light was staying on this morning, a tap on the side of the alternator with an adjustable spanner soon fixed it  Cool
