Just curious but how do you all power your CB's?

Anyone Use a cigar lighter plug set up or is it best to wire it directly to the battery?

Tar,

Daz

Mine is directly wired (with a fuse of-course) but a lot are now supplied with the aux socket plug.

As far as I know if you wire directly to the battery (with a fuse) you get less interference. That's how mine is done.

This one is on a cig plug but my mk1 was wired to the interior light as it was bolted through the roof.

Got an auxiliary fuse box for all the extra electrics with a switch in the engine bay (switched off usually as extras are more for off road then daily use).

Wire to battery if a permanent install otherwise plug into the cig lighter for ease.

Cheers for the replies.

Do you have any interference issues with the ciggy set up Mark?

I have found a socket behind the dash that is ignition live. Look OEM as well. However I get major interferance when operating the windshield/headlamp washers.
