Job done, took less then an hour, I'm really happy with the result gained another half an inch or so of lift and the ride seems more stable.

Ready to go on...

Old lwb spring and 2" spacer with new +2" landy spring...

Trooper spring seat drilled and landy seat bolted on...

Landy spring in place...

Still on standard shocks but the flex isn't bad...

Thats either a toy tractor or those springs are huge  Laughing

How much are those plates?
I was talking about this at the derby bash as landy springs are cheap and you have a huge choice.

Got the springs and plates of the bay, plates where about £10 and I got a bargin on the springs (brand new and still boxed) £25, they are bearmach blue +2" front discovery springs. Then I got the rubber sleeve from a landy dealer I know for £5, don't really need them but it stops the top of the spring grinding on the top seat. So all in its cost me about £40 which in my books is a bargin especially when compared to blood reds!

On the road it's fine, considering I don't have a rear anti roll bar. Next up longer shocks.

Just as another guide, mine are 922500, 22.58 extended, 13.71 collapsed, loop, loop, 2.36 (more overall travel than the 92255x, 8.87 inches as opposed to 7.90) .

I was very lucky when I was testing mine in that the guy who ran Explorer UK at the time let me try both the 3000 series and the 9000 series. I found the 3000's werent up to the job, and were very bouncy. They're meant for lighter vehicles like Suzukis etc. Having said that, mine's a LWB, yours is a SWB, and I reckon your springs are a lot stiffer than mine.

The other thing, I vaguely remember having to re-sleeve the bottom mounts to get them to fit the bushes that came with the shocks, but it was nothing major. (it was 6 years ago, which says something about the quality of the shocks  Cool )

Oh, and don't forget you're going to need to extend the brake hose to the axle if you do go for longer shocks  Wink

OME's, with a 1/2 inch (ish) spacer in the top mount.  The Pro-Comps just weren't up to handling the extra weight of the 3.0 engine. It would sit there just bouncing up and down on them.
Gary is running another make (can't remember which), and reckons they're OK.

The hoses? Llama 4x4, they'll make them up to your spec so I'm going to send them a spare set if standard hoses I have and get them to copy them but obviously extend them too.
