Hey.

Recieved a windows 7 disk from redneckriceburner and having some trouble with it ive had wind 7 professional on my computer before from a disk i was given but this time it gets to 46% and wont install and i get the error code of 0x80070017 which is to with the disk or disk drive.

So i proceeded try and put it onto a usb stick and boot it that way but but it gets to nearly half way done copying and it wont copy a file called install.wim it says windows cannot read this file, so it wont copy it! internet has not shed any light on the situation,

if anyone has any ideas or a solution and can help me i would most appreciate it!

Cheers

Ben

If you have more than one cd/dvd drive try using another one to load/read the disk Wink

If its a copied disc then its a corrupt file - if you have a COA then just get a genuine disc of fleabay -
