Happy Nw Year to everybody

I own a 98 3.1D Long Base Trooper. Last month i've had a ride with the 3.0D and i was amazed by the power of that car! Is an engine replacement possible? Has anyone heard of an attempt and if it was succesfull?

Dieselman, most people with 3.0L engined Troopers want to go the other way, they may be powerful but they have some fundamental design flaws that lead to the engines lunching themselves big time, even afetr the factory modifications that are supposed to fix the problems, have a look through the recall section for enlightenment.

the isuzu 3.9 turbo diesel was a popular conversion into landys. cos at the time they couldnt make a good enough diesel engine.

and then, they pinch one out of a 325 cos still they cant make good engines after all these years.

wonder if it shares the same block/gearbox mounting as the 4jb1t or the 4jg2???
