Going by Google, it looks like it might be a Ford Transit 2001 FWD Clutch Plate but don't take my word as gospel lol

Fast reply cam but ! you should know my Q's are never google jobs  Smile  Its off the 3.5 Mazda turbo in the ,ahem LR so its fitting on a LT77 gearbox and a Mazda/Perkins flywheel .

Unless ford are tied with landrover - oh yer right !  Embarassed but from a 1998 conversion - oh carp.

Now the local clutch rebuild crew, ORCA at Bordon in hants did me proud with a new cover and plate at 90  for cadburys smash but seeing motorcraft on it made me curious

LOL, so I take it you've just realised how the Plate has come about then.

The Guys that did the conversion must have had a lot of fun finding a compitable plate

It was done by M&D motors and diesels in Lestershire, they have done loads of em and its a good job ,even box the chassis in so the oil filter clears.

Trouble is they want 300 quid for a clutch assy  (and without troopersimon seeing lol )  I think thats too dear .

They fit the TVG 2.8 international engine now into 90's and 110'2  , its a good lump  and with more oomph that a 3.0 but its all electronic controls soo not the best for offroading .

Hi Gribble, I run a HS 2.8 TGV in mine and they have no electronics on them what so ever, the only wires to the engine are the fuel solenoid and water temp lol They are a great engine in standard form but when you tune them they can eat a clutch/r380 in hours, propshafts are just like candy sticks and the rest of the drive train diffs/shafts would not last 2 mins off road. It even eats up ARB's and Ashcroft shafts so it's start spending serious money on 300m Shafts and Cv's, pegged Arb's, Custom made props with JCB UJ's, Quiffe centre diffs and custom made LT230's and R380's but they do make a big difference off road, had to post up Col's videos as I don't have a photobucket account.

The later ones are squire as they are euro 3 ,oh I agree the refit of the bosch VP14 injection pump makes for a non electronic euro 2 lump and quite pokey  ,is yours the variable turbo one  or wastegate ? Thats a lot of money and work for a fun toy !

Getting 150 bhp and about 280ft/lbs out the mazda with a proper zorst and allisport fmic ,its me driving that holds me back now not the truck !

I got my clutch done ok but it came back with a motorcraft center plate and I wondered what ford had the same input shaft on the  box as a landy .

It was the VNT one but I got bored with it and took the head off got it ported and bigger valves, stronger matched pistons got a turbo company to build me a bigger VNT and then sent the fuel pump of to a bosch specialist who played with the internals and fitted a larger lift pump to fuel it all, combined with the full intercooler and water vapour injection it goes well even in a big lump of a Disco (still a lot faster than Col's 3.0l even when he tries to sneak past lol) but it just broke everything so had to go back to the drawing board and redesign the transmission which was fun, an Ashcroft HD paddle clutch was gone in 2,000 miles just snapped the centre out of it lol, but if you want to play you have to pay as they say  Shocked Looking at adding gas injection now for a few more BHP. Cool

What bhp do you rekon its making Will ?

Turtle (dont ask ) has gone nissian 4.2 patrol axles n props on his 90 as they are spec'd for 350 bhp as stock (46mm dia H/shafts ) and 40 degree W/A props as stock .

Oh on my clutch -
PARTS LIST 250 MM CLUTCH As fitted by M&D diesels .
150-13-01 1 Flywheel, modified
154-13-01 1 250 mm Clutch kit, heavy duty 3 piece includes bearing
10% higher clamp load and 250 mm dia. driven plate
52-13-04 1 Clutch cover, 250 mm
60-13-01 1 Clutch driven plate, 250 mm
50-13-05 3 Dowel, 3/8" x 5/16" (250 mm clutch only)
MS8UB20 6 Setscrew, M8 x 20
WSPM8 6 Washer, M8 spring
FTC5200 1 Thrust bearing
1 Clutch housing, exchange
Note :- With the R380 ‘300’ Tdi gearbox an exchange housing is required to give enough clearance between the clutch cover and housing when the 250 mm clutch is fitted.

That be why its an odd un !

I had the 250mm clutch in and did not last as long as a 130 clutch with HD pressure plate and it's the route M&D will tell you to go down now as they stopped doing the 250mm one a while back, you have to mchine the bell housing and it makes it weak as I found out when it sheared off Shocked When I took my broken ARB diff to Rakeway Neal nearly passed out his words were "what the f**k are you running in there, we have LS3's and S/C Jag engines running 600BHP and they don't do damage like that" but it took Dave Ashcroft to explain to me why these are bad engines for damage to transmissions, they develope even in standard form 280lbs ft at 1400 rpm which is not much over tickover and it's such a brutal on off type of torque thats what causes the issues. I did take mine on the rollers but we had problems with the 37" tyres and the fact in nearly leaped off a few times the guy was not very happy lol it managed 231BHP and 420lb ft before it broke his rolling road at 26 PSI of boost, it's now got a larger lift pump again and bigger custom intercooler and running 30PSI on the boost gauge but he would not let me go back on the rollers lol can't believe he blamed me for breaking them he was in the Disco. I still want more power as does everyone but I think I am getting to the limit of the engine/drivetrain/Disco so I have been looking at the Spidertrax axles (no change from £20,000 at the spec I want) and a modded LS3 for next year and see if I can get to the 650BHP mark running some 44" Boggers  Shocked Time is my problem never have enough to do what I want with as it is with everyone but we can only try. Very Happy
