Well the time had come to actually lay a spanner on to the trooper! The n/s shocker was leaking so I ordered a pair from Milners on the friday and they arrived on the monday. Good service there!
The replacements are Tokico and seem Ok so i proceeded to take off the old ones. What a bast**rd. 2 nuts and it took me hours. the nuts were rusted solid. I ended up with a nut remover and aan iron bar on a spanner to take the top nut off. I the end the shaft snapped. So that was OK. I had to reuse the bottom bolts although I don't like the state of them. Anyone know where I can replacements?
I also wanted to replace the arb link bars but the nuts were again rusted solid. I managed to get my nut remover on but the bolt into the ball joint just rotates. had to give up on that but I will try with a set of moles. Any other tips?
The new shocks have transformed the ride
