talk about going from one extreme to another......

Mazda MX5 ragtop!  Shocked

Always fancied a convertible, was thinkung about an MGB but saw sense, and got a japanese one, lovely LITTLE car, bet I could park it under the troop  hilarious
Its the 1800 cc Mk1, 1996 vintage, had the usual rust spots repaired and undersealed throughout, generally straight and tidy, until now.....
Fitted a K&N induction kit, new brakes done, drilled & grooved discs on the way, mohair roof with glass HRW ready to fit, stainless exhaust and decat pipe ordered, and just bought a set of 17" alloys with excellent tyres, oh forgot, its got lowered coilovers on, its about 2" off the ground!  Shocked
Feels very strange after driving the troop I must say......

I know, I started this post with a view to getting plenty of stick!  Laughing
We've not had any real snow yet, but will be giving it a try when we do, rear wheel drive, 150 Bhp motor in a y car.....got to be good fun, it wheelspins in 1st and 2nd in the dry  Shocked
I got a great deal btw, its got nearly new bridgestone matching tyres,  coilover kit, big bore exhaust but got a tiny blow, got a nearly new 3" stainless catback system coming next week, decat pipe and already fitted a K&N induction kit sounds superb now, will be amazing with the exhaust on!
Add on the 17" wheels n tyres and fit the mohair roof, will be ready for the sunshine very soon  Laughing
I'm really glad I didn't buy an MGB though, powerful reliable Jap *beep*, versus British junk sorry meant 'classic'........sounds familiar, much like Lawnrovers V. Troopers!
And the close ratio gearbox and 7000 redline makes giving it some welly a real pleasure to drive  Laughing
AND its British Racing Green, the best colour by far  Wink
