Hi all ...

one other person has reported this ... and it was never really clear as to why it happens ....

In order to work properly, the forums use cookies for 'session management' ... that is, for example, so that it 'knows' where you are on the forums etc ...

Also, the forum is database driven. Within the database, there is a section that includes when you las logged in.

A combination of the above determines what 'orange flags' you can (or can't0 see when you're logged in.

There could be any reason why you don't see them ... including blocked cookies or, if your internet connection is a bit flakey, there is a chance that your login to the club site briefly succeeds, but then fails ... you log in again and can't see the flags, which are against topics updated since you last logged out ...

You can see new flags appear while you're logged in as other people post.

I hope that's a bit clearer, although I suspect not Rolling Eyes

ATB

Simon

Thanks Simon,

Good to have a response, but as you suspected, not a lot wiser now than before. From what you say it could be any one or a combination of several factors.

Its been OK for the last week. Will clear cookies on a regular basis and see if the good behavior continues.
