Hello!  I have  recently got a 2001 3.0 Rodeo. it smoked like a house on fire when started and was missing while cold.
Put it into local isuzu dealer for these problems and to m.o.t it.   Had lots done (which did not need doing but better safe than sorry, and intend to keep for years) and it passed m.o.t.
Got it back, still smokes and missing while cold...  Shocked  went back to see dealer, told has an injector off, .....
I asked if the injectors can be done on recall? as i had heared they were. Different versions from in dealer, one says had them done,   another said has not had them done, they were only checked,   and that i will have to pay for such myself.
If this is my introduction to isuzu, i feel very let down. I have already spent over 2k and still have original problems! and yet more to fork out to make it right!
Once warmed up it runs and sounds great, it does not use a drop of water or oil, but is so embarrassing having to drive off in a puff/cloud of smoke!! I am blonde, and the smoke is making me a dizzy blonde!! and grey!!  Embarassed
Please, please can anyone point me in the right and helpfull direction?

Check the recall posts on here it gives you a couple of names at isuzu to email. I rang a few dealers amd they all said different things about my recalls so I emailed isuzu directly they told me yes it needs a recall but my injectors were only checked and they were not a dodgey batch so wernt changed

There is a closer one in North Shields, Newcastle Isuzu , not sure if they are any good as never used them myself.

Hi Mark,

I called in there on saterday looking for the 2 oil filters, nice enough lad but said they don't keep spares etc.......seemed a very poor for a main dealer in my opinion.

Did not give off the good vibes or seem to be very specialist, they don't even have a tech 2 machine !!!!!!

Now that I think about it I think I did email them once a long while ago about some parts and never got a reply so maybe not the best place to go then.

I can recommend Dennis Commons in Longframlington, they have been an Isuzu dealer for a long time so they know their stuff.

Your not wrong there Adam...

Well after Izusu newcastle have had my trooper for nearly 5 weeks i have been promised i will get it back tomorrow all sorted.

It has been having it's iz17 recall done, new harnesses, new injectors etc all done FOC under warranty.

As the vehicle has been a project (2002 commercial), it is at present sorned so the length of time does not really matter to much.

Will let you's all know how it turned out, what it drives like etc etc, was ok before it went in so not expecting to see much of a difference.
