Been asked to change the cambelt on a 1.7 isuzu in an astra , is it a special tool job ?  I seem to recall cam has to be locked  Confused

My dad had Isuzu powered astra .

Don't the cam , crank and pump need locking to do belt .

Seem to remember dad saying something about it ..

Did it using the holes in the pulleys and the cranks got a pointer . Needs the o/s engine mount took off and the o/s front wheel too .

Was getting mixed up with the 1.7 VX engine .
