I guess no one has the answer to leeanson's problem yet???

I ask because I've got the same problem on my VX. From the VX website they say the wheels should be / \ after cranking the Torsion bars but mine are \ / as leeanson's. I've done a ball joint flip with the correct spacers from the states etc and even after putting in umpteen shims i still have bad tyre wear and I can see they still lean out at the top.

I'm about to strip mine down and start again as I'm sure I've done something wrong but there aren't that many bits to get wrong. If I manage to work it out in the next few days I'll post the solution but don't hold your breath Smile

I would have thought that you remove shims from the top to bring it in ??

The shims actually go on the inside of the chassis member so the more you add the more it brings the top in but if I use anymore I'll need longer bolts and I hadn't heard of anyone else with this problem hence thought i was doing something wrong. Until now that is.

Thanks very much for posting the figures it helps with my worry about adding too many shims. It says up to 10.8mm so i think I've got room to add more. I'll be out with my ruler tonight Smile
BTW the second diagram down shows the shims going behind the "Frame".
It also makes it look really easy getting them in which is anything but the truth.

Thanks again

Hi,
i thought i was the only one mate sorry to hear you have the same problem but im glad im not alone.
I dont understand it the less shims you have in the more it is \  / so like you say and ive done put more  in it brings the top of the wheels back in.
now ive spoke to calmini and they dont understand, i asked if i could have the wrong t bars but they say deffinatly not.
If you want a chat about it mate you  can ring me on 07966875454 ill ring you straight back as it costs me nothin.
Any help would be much apprieciated and i might be able to help you, you never know.
you  can get me any time if your interested keep me posted.

cheers lee

Hi Lee,

At present I can only log in at work as I've not got set up at home yet as we're just back in the country. I'll try call you later today. I managed to get a bit of time last night and have started to take my shims out so I can measure them but as always it's never a 10 minute job so I'll complete the task tonight. I'm a memeber of a VX website in the states but they shed no light on this problem. Having said that most of them have any mods done at the garage anyway so never see what's done.
