Come on guys, someone must have done the swap from a 3.1 Deisel to a 2.8 from an older wagon, anything I need to know before I start the conversion?
Or this is as easy as people say it is? _________________ Murdo |

hey up mate allthough iam a 3,0ltre owner i have read lots of posts and if what i think is true the 2.8 bottom half is pretty much the same as the 3.1 so i dont think you will have any problems .Hope someone comes along with a bit better advice but if they dont you will be able to tell us all how its done and be the expert, advice is something we all sometimes need mate.Good luck with the spanners. |

the gearbox to block fittings are the same the only difference may be the clutch plate the covers are interchangeable the starter motor is the same quite straight forward really if iwas doing it iwould take gearbox out then engine new engine back in then gearbox because easier to fit gearbox to engine than the other way round |
