It would appear from other posts regarding Langdale, and from some of the requests I've had for booking forms that there are a few of us going to Langdale on the 12th March from the Manchester(ish) area. i.e. Bolton, Rochdale etc.. Personally I am travelling from Stockport with two Shogun owners ( such is life Rolling Eyes ), and we intend to go up on the Saturday afternoon with the intention of camping overnight at the campsite that Markymoan did so well finding ;
http://www.jasminepark.co.uk/index.htm

Idea What I was thinking was that if anyone else was interested we could arrange a meeting place and time, say for example Birch services eastbound, and all travel in " convoy" ( I know Jack Wink ) from there to the campsite. Could be a long journey, but on the saturday, what's the rush? C.B's up and running, a good chance to plan our tactics for the following days Pajero bashing Razz . Anyone interested Question Stick a post on the end of this and if there's any interest we can sort out a proper place and time. 8) 8) 8) 8) . Could even pick up straddlers on the way from places like ... say... Rotherham Wink .

If it is i will meet you over there.

I'm taking my 19 yr old son, not a seasoned off-roader, but very keen to learn Twisted Evil Twisted Evil Laughing Laughing . Have to teach him how to attach a tow rope in 3 ft of mud Razz . Not taking the wife and the 2 little uns, I don't think they're up for it yet, a bit too young for camping in March. (the 2 little uns at least Laughing ) . My m8 Steve is also taking his 14(?) yr old son / co-driver , assuming he gets his water pump fitted to his Shogun Friday night Rolling Eyes .
I do like all this rain Twisted Evil . Great as long as it stops about midday Saturday so I can get the tents up.

Taking a cast Iron BBQ / charcoal burner ( only a little one, but very effective), although I doubt we'll be allowed to use it on the campsite. Also plenty of food, booze, blankets etc. Not sure what we'll forget this time, but there's always something. I keep saying I should do a list and laminate it, but it just keeps getting put off. It was the loo roll last time Embarassed Rolling Eyes .
