just discovered a hissing leak on aircon rad .now to the point,i've searched previous posts on this and appear to have three options: replace said rad and re gas(not too fussed about aircon tbh),replace comp with pulley(haven't found any online yet) or use a single vee-belt to p/s pump.i read that this belt is 13mm x 1120mm,found one on well known auction site, what i need to know is,is it reliable to use this method and more important, will i still have heat available.this is probably the cheapest option and simplist to do,just a little unsure on modifying the engine in this way. |

Embarassing update time .The leaking condensor turned out to be a pin hole in coolant rad,it was the way it showed on the condensor, hissing and foaming, that gave the impression of gas and oil escaping from it.All sorted now, just goes to show, don't overlook the simple things.Glad i didn't rip it all out |
