hi guys im abit lost on this. my car has been running fine today and even starts fine now. but when i checked the oil. and other fluid levels. today i noticed the old alarm unit on the back of the engine back has come off and was hanging. now i know there is power to this still. but i have took the unit off. and taped the connectors up so they can touch etc.

when i turned the car over. it starts up fine and battery voltage is as normal. but i noticed a funny clicking noise when the keys are st turned over for the dash lights to come on. they dont flicker etc. but its like a clicking noise. it only doesnt it a couple of times.

i got my other half to turn the key so i could get a good idea where noise is coming from and it sounds like the front drivers side wing ???? now its funny thats its happend since i took that alarm box off. i even put the wire back into the box to see if that made any difference. but no its making this little click now.

what do you guys think it could be

trooper 3.1 diesel. some *beep* aftermarket alarm on it when i got it.
