I have only had my Trooper a few weeks and I am itching to see what it can do. I have a very rare sunday off work so I want to get down to the punishing Kirton centre.

I have got my muds on my Shogun that can go on, It looks like a am missing a skid plate underneath; should there be two at the front?

Bumpers to remove, maybe steps not decided. If I get a wing cheap I will chop a hole in it and crudely fab up a snorkel.

What are these like in water? I had water gushing out of my dashboard in the Shogun at Kirton last year, the electrics didn't seem to mind. Wouldn't dare touch water with my Range Rover!

I have only got 2 days to do it really so its not a monster build, just doing what I can with it to protect it.

The alternator on these machines is pretty low down in the engine and does not like water . You could easily kill it in deep water .

Was your last motor the black LR with the Dakar style back, I noticed a 3.0 parked in it's spot across from Kwik Fit the other day, just made me wonder.

Thats because they are just money grabbers and its a shoddy organisation by all accounts from what I have heard. West Yorkshire 4x4 Volunteers was created because of this; to do a better job. The growing popularity and numbers speak for themselves.
