...At the front (curse that independent suspension! Rolling Eyes ):

And at the rear:

I've got a 1" lift with +1 shocks.  I haven't been brave enough to remove the rear anti-roll bar yet...

So I know my next step is to take off the rear anti-roll bar, and then the rear will be limited mainly by the shock travel.

Am I right in thinking there's not  much I can do about the fronts though, without some serious engineering?

Here's the rear showing its limitations some more (fun though):

Not as much as the front.

If you google expedition west or search on here the same theres a guide on improving the front.

adz1973 - wow! Thanks for posting that link about the front suspension. That's a really useful interesting page. (The people on this forum are so helpful!) I'm not sure I'll go for it yet though as the travel gains seem quite small versus the effort involved - especially as every single nut and bolt on my car seems to be welded with rust.  The impressive travel on the guy's front suspension in the photo is a bit misleading as it was only achieved after removing the front anti-roll bar (as well as the other mods), which is a bit of a no-go for me as I want good road manners too.

Wilky88 - Small world. I bought from a nice chap near Bradford. It's fair to say it was a bit neglected, but it was cheap!  Apparently the original owner used it for deer hunting in Scotland, hence the cheesy(?) deer head spare wheel cover.

The photos are the south Lake District by the way. Best weekend of laning I've ever done if you like technical sections.

They're staying on this one. Plenty flex with them and keeps the 35's under control a bit. Extended the bumpstops too. If lift a wheel got lockers.

Some great lanes in the lakes, good pics.
