I know you've all been waiting patiently for this....and finally, here it is......

The ITOC UK Big Bash 2014

The Location: Great Barugh, just south of Pickering, North Yorkshire.

The Dates: Friday 22nd August to Monday 25th August 2014.
(August Bank Holiday weekend)

This years event is 2 separate days of green laning (Saturday and Sunday), taking in the lanes of the North York Moors. Possibly some of the best lanes in the Country. The laning will be organised into groups so there will be something for everyone whether your motor is a bog standard shiny or a modified special.

If you've never been green laning before,  this is the perfect opportunity to come and meet some of the more experienced club members and learn just exactly what you're missing.

The Price: £18 per pitch per night.

This is a discounted flat rate price that we have managed to secure with the campsite, and we will all be camping together in their rally field. People are welcome to arrive any time on the Friday (within reason), and depart any time up to the Monday. If you want to arrive on the Saturday that is fine, but do bear in mind there may be no-one on the site as we'll all be out enjoying the countryside.

Caravans (with or without awnings), Tents, and Trailer tents are all welcome.

There is a modern toilet and shower block on the campsite, also use of a washing machine and tumble dryer. Showers are on a meter at 20 pence per 3 minutes, £1 per 15 mins, or multiples thereof.

There is no actual shop as such on the campsite, however they do sell the basics on site such as bread, milk, eggs, washing up liquid and ice cubes etc. all at very reasonable prices.

Whilst the rally field has no electric hook up, generators are welcome (with consideration for other campers), and I have been told there will be 2 or 3 electric points in the field should anyone need them.

Dogs are welcome, but I have been advised they should be kept on a lead at all times whilst on the campsite.

As is the norm now at the Big Bash, there will be a club BBQ on the Saturday night to go along with the usual drinking and merryments around the campfire. The BBQ is at an additional cost of £2.50 per adult, and £1.50 per child. This will be payable in advance at the same time as the camping so that the food can be ordered in.

As with all green laning outings, we will be following the GLASS code of conduct whilst out on the lanes, a copy of which can be found here.....

GLASS code of conduct

You are welcome to turn up to this event in any vehicle, Isuzu or otherwise. The general idea is to come along and have a great weekend  Cool

Oh, and for those who might be interested, Flamingo Land theme park is about a 10 minute drive from the campsite, and Castle Howard is about a 15 minute drive.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now, the nitty gritty bit......

In order to make the event run as smoothly as possible, both for the club and the campsite owners, and for the purposes of their insurance etc. this year will be a ticket only event. Tickets can only be obtained from myself.

If you want to attend please send me a PM with the following details....

1) Your Name and home address.
2) Your Vehicle Registration.
3) Number of pitches required, and which nights (Fri / Sat / Sun).
4) Number of adults / children for the Saturday night BBQ.
5) Your preferred method of payment.

I will then send you a PM by return with a summary of cost, and full details for making payment. Payment can then be made by Paypal (please send as a gift to avoid charges), cheque, postal order, or good old cash. Upon receipt of full payment, a ticket, and full details of the campsite, will be sent by return post.

Once payment has been made in full your name will be added to the attending list, which will be posted on here.

Please note that the cut off date for payment will be the 31st July 2014.

This is so we can finalise numbers with the campsite, and also order the food for the BBQ.

If you have any questions, please contact me by PM and I will do my best to answer them.

This year is going to be a really good one, and it would be great to see some new faces, as well as the usual suspects, so come along and join in what has become the biggest and best gathering of Isuzu owners in the UK. You'll be made to feel very welcome, and before long you'll more than likely end up becoming one of the usual suspects too  Cool.
