when first starting the trooper on a morning, there is no response from the throttle for about the first 20 to 25 seconds... then it will pick up and be no problem all day. i,ve tried to check to see if the fuel has drained back overnight, but its all ok, no air whatso ever ... the only thing is that it is a 51 plate , using the fly by wire set up for the throttle... any suggestions to stop me tearing my hair out !!!!!!!

That can be one of the problems with a 3.0DT ... mine wouldnt pull the skin off the rice pudding until it has run for a minute or so.
Some people do recommend you check you are running on 5w30 FULLY SYNTHETIC oil, and get a dealer with Tech-2 to check all the sensors etc with particular atention to the oil pressure sensors.

hope this helps
