Just bought another 3.1, swb this time though. Drives very well, looks like it's been well looked after, recaro interior, 265 mud tires on it already, just a couple of small issues to sort out but otherwise very pleased with it.

I spent today sorting a few jobs out on this, the glow plug light on the dash had a mind of it's own so I traced the fault with a multimeter to the qos unit in the drivers footwell, took it apart and it had burnt out, replaced it with the one from my other trooper and all is well.

I also removed the vac system from the engine bay and the aircon pump, i've kept the pump incase I decide to have on board air.

I want to add a second battery but have no clue how to do it, i've had a look in the forums but couldn't find much on it. Is there a 'how to' or such like or could some kind person give me a bit of a idiots guide to doing this please.

Thanks
Keith

I got around to doing the suspension lift today, I used Terrafirma TF023V +2" medium load landy springs and seats in the end, they are huge compared to the Trooper ones.

The spring seats I got off eebuygum for £10

And the end result is about a 2.75" lift. I wound up the front by 11 turns.

Next job is to find some time to fit the snorkel.

Fitted my snorkel yesterday. Very nerve wracking drilling large holes in your truck. Took a bit of figuring out as it never came with any instructions but I got there in the end.

Just past its mot, first one with me as the owner, just needed a lower ball joint. I got the garage to do it, far to cold to be working outside , £165 including the mot so not to bad. The mot tester commented on how good the brakes were, must be all that grease on the slider bolts  Very Happy
