Evening all
Im gonna do an oil change on my 3.1td big horn
How much oil do i need?
And any tips or pit falls to avoid?

Funny enough - just done mine today.
Quite a bit - two 5L cans will do it with about three-and-a-wee-bit litres over for top ups. With luck, if she doesn't loose oil it'll cover 'the extra' your next change...
Filter's a *beep* to get at - Jack the car up at the right and use an appropriate wrench - The one I have is like a loop of chain with a thing to take an extension bar... One of those three leg ones might be good ; the type that grip it from the side, there isn't really much room to swing it...
Jacking it up helps drain it too - so tht's all good... Otherwise it's just heat her up, drain her out, swap filter, plug back in and off you go... |
