Hi, after six years of trouble free motoring my 02 3.0td fails to start. After reading the many helpful posts (thanks guys) on the ITOCUK forum I've narrowed the problem down to the orps.
One day it was running fine and the next it was a non starter. After checking the obvious I snipped the white wire and bingo, she started and runs lumpy with erratic tick over and loss of power. I only ran her a couple of miles before I discovered that's a big no no
I've ordered a new orps and will fit it this weekend. My question is about the calibration after the new sensor is fitted. Is this required immediately as I live very rural and the nearest Tech2 to me is a 60 mile drive.
So, do I need the Tech2 immediately and if so will it be ok to drive the 60 miles to the dealer with new orps and white wire reconnected? |

I think THIS post will answer your question, They can be run but the fueling will more than likely be out, If run to a dealers the oil rail must be at zero pressure.
The big boys will be along later to advise you. _________________
