Hi all! I've been on the ITOG and planet isuzoo sites and read that a lot of our friends over the water suffer from high oil consumption with their mk 2 and 3 Troopers ('92 - '03), and it made me question my consumption. My old 2.8 never used a drop between oil changes, which I carried out every 3k miles, but my '92 Bighorn uses about 1 litre-ish, probably a bit less. I use a semi-synthetic oil so it's not too thin and there are no visible leaks. Is this consumption normal? I'd be interested to hear what your trucks drink. All replies appreciated.

Must admit only had my 3.1 for a month but covered around 1500miles. When i got it home the 1st day i checked the oil level and was half way on the dip stick..............then when i checked again recently i had to top up as was right at the min line. Mine has covered 94000kms (58000mls) no leaks, smoke ect, so guess its normal tho did think it was excessive as my shogun (previous truck '89 100,000mls) never used a drop.
