Hi, recently aquired a 94 lotus bighorn 3.1 diesel auto. The fanbelts are screeching when i start driving from cold and ease up after a while. they don't seem slack and the guy i bought it from had sprayed some belt dressing on but this hasn't helped. should i try a bit more tension and is the adjuster the large threaded bolt on the right near the power steering pump?
Maybe better to have the belts replaced!! Any thoughts or advice appreciated.
Apart from this little problem i am amazed at the condition that these imports are in for their age. I'm over the moon with it. ( so far !!! )

ps. I was also a bit concerned at the auto box sometimes taking a while to change up but having read a few threads on the subject it seems the norm and can be lived with.
