It's a shame that Hull 4x4's event is in August same as Big Bash as it's a great weekend, I like many cannot justify two events in one month. Not that I need justify myself to you, whoever you are. _________________ 1999 3.1td SWB Trooper. RIP

I do hope to get to BB14, but the simple fact is its damned expensive!
As I said before, for me to attend on my own, one trooper and a single tent, will cost the same as a group of 6 in a large caravan, with 2 troopers plus another on a trailer: as seen at other meets!
It does appear that this doesn´t matter, as its the event organisers who benefit from this ruling! _________________ 1999 3.0 TD Duty SWB

Twisty, Dylan and co are not making anything out of this, The campsite set the price NOT ITOC, and as for it being expensive it is the August bank holiday weekend to which every camp site in the country hikes it's prices. Yes the Bobs bay do is cheaper BUT it's not on a bank holiday DAV from Hull 4x4 is very very good friends with the farmer/campsite owner ( the off-road bit next door may not be free, I got charged £25 extra last year after being told on it was included ) No Gennys or campfires allowed and no noise after 11pm. In contrast the Itoc guys give up there own time and diesel money to travel around several campsites to try and find 1 best suits the needs off all. I'm sure the guys would be grateful of your help in finding next years campsite and thrashing out a"fairer deal" with the campsite owners if you was to offer your services instead of constantly complaining about the price. _________________ aka x66dag

My point is still valid: it costs me the same to attend in a tent as it will cost 6 people to attend in a caravan. Not Fair!
"and no noise after 11pm"
After lying in my tent at 3am waiting for the party to finish, this may not be a bad thing!
As I said...the people who arrange the event turn up in big caravans, with gennies, and even a couple of vehicles on trailers, its always the chosen few who benefit! _________________ 1999 3.0 TD Duty SWB

DAVID's J99P
I feel I have made valid points about the costs of the event.
I have attended 3 previous years and have really enjoyed these events.
As I no longer feel welcomed by certain members on here, some of who I did consider to be friends, I won't be attending
Such a shame, as I have really enjoyed my time on here and have made many friends.
Anyone want to buy a highly modified 3.0 Trooper? _________________ 1999 3.0 TD Duty SWB
